Overview
HDMI Y-Splitter Cable (1 Male to 2 Female) is a passive video signal duplicator designed to send a single HDMI signal to two separate displays simultaneously. Ideally suited for presentations, retail displays, or home setups where you want to show the exact same image on two TVs or monitors from a single source like a laptop, DVD player, or gaming console.
IMPORTANT: This adapter is for Mirroring/Duplicating screens only. It does NOT support “Extended Desktop” mode (viewing different windows on different screens).
Key Features
- 1-in-2-Out Signal Duplication: Takes one HDMI source (Male) and splits the signal to two HDMI displays (Females). Note: Requires two separate HDMI male-to-male cables to connect to the TVs.
- Full HD Support: Capable of transmitting clear High Definition (1080p, 720p) video signals and uncompressed audio.
- Gold-Plated Connectors: Ensures optimal signal transfer and corrosion resistance for a stable connection.
- Plug and Play: No software or drivers required. Simply plug the male end into your device and connect your displays to the female ports.
Common Uses
- Showing a presentation on a laptop screen and a projector simultaneously.
- Displaying the same video on two monitors in a waiting room or store.
- Gaming on a TV while recording the signal on a separate capture card device.

FAQ
Can I use this to extend my desktop (e.g., Email on one screen, Excel on the other)?
NO. This splitter sends the exact same image to both screens. If you need to extend your workspace, you need a USB docking station or a graphics card with multiple ports.
Can I plug 2 computers into 1 Monitor with this?
NO. This is a Splitter (1 Source -> 2 Displays). It is not a Switch (2 Sources -> 1 Display). If you plug two computers into this, it will not work.
Why is only one of my screens working?
Passive splitters rely on the power from the HDMI port. Sometimes, a source device (like a PS4 or low-power laptop) doesn’t output enough power to drive two screens at once. Also, both connected screens should ideally be the same resolution and refresh rate for the best results.
